Upcoming EventsWe get to have a bit of fun today whilst learning some essential life skills. We all know that dock leaves help with nettle stings, but what about the burdock leaf for bee stings and elderflower tea for hayfever?!
We’ll be exploring some of the plants that can help us when we get hurt or feel unwell in the woods and using the natural medicine cabinet around us, we’ll be conjuring up some scenarios and seeing what first aid solutions we can come up with.
After lunch and some free play, we’ll be building our own stretchers from branches and tarps, under the guidance of our Forest School Leader, Myra. We might even see if they can carry someone in them, for a real Mountain Rescue Experience!
With our experienced staff we’re able to offer so much more than just the activities - games, free play, crafts and child-led adaptations are all thrown into the mix to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day with us.
